...mixer,that is! This thing has been sitting at my shop for years,my wife dug it out,and plugged it in. It works, but a little slow to get up to full speed. But it does work when it gets there.
Any idea of age? It says MODEL 12 underneath. And yes,it's PANK!

60's 70's. I don't know the dates of the Subeams but Scott probably will. You do need to oil them occasionally. Use a light oil like sewing machine oil or equivalent. A couple of drops in the 4 holes on top. One is right in front of the mixer dial, and there's two up front, one is hidden under the handle which you'll se when you slide the handle down to relase the beaters. Lastly a couple of drops down the pto up on top where the juicer fits in.
Also there's a mixer collectors group on yahoogroups.com. Type in WACEM. (We All Collect Electric Mixers). Tons of Sunbeam info there.

Hi Kenny,

The Model 12 was the longest-running Mixmaster, from October 1957 to 1967 if you can believe that! Since it's pink, yours is *probably* a late-50's model.

Very nice Mixmaster too...hang onto it!

one way to date them

Motor wattage... the earlier model 12's were 135 watts, later were 150 watts.
Pat Coffey is right, the pink models were around till at least 1965 or 66, after which they were either in white or chrome.

My mom got a model 11W for a wedding present in 1955

Motor Wattage

Does anyone know what year the motor wattage on the model 12 changed? I have the mixer my mom got in 1960 for a wedding present and it is 150 watts.
Thanks,
Bill
