Daz whites &colurs

I bought a box of Daz from Asda today for the first time ever!I have always used Persil but on a whim saw this on special..£5 for a 40 wash box. Lets hope its better than the powergems i got last time!
Also, on offer was Lenor unstopables.£3 instead of £5..i got one...has anyone tried either of these..are they any good?

Daz Whites & Colours

It has no oxygen bleach either. Neither does Tesco's "DAZ 65 Years".

The only Daz powder with oxygen bleach is "Daz Ultra Whites".

Daz whites and colours......

Has a couple of optical brighteners but no bleach.

It has 4 enzymes though, and is a very decent powder very often at a very sensible price. Performs very well in my opinion. Compare this to Bold's two enzymes and Surf's one and I think this is a good buy.

You just need to have an oxy bleach to hand (like Napisan or Oxy plus) to add when necessary.

It's a compromise detergent in a similar way to bio liquid. Some folk may prefer this level of versatility to a regular bleach containing powder.

You mention that you usually choose Persil but not which variant.....the Persil colour powder I guess would perform similarly to this Daz but generally costs more. Also the Persil colour powder (despite the ingredients on the side of the box claiming it does) doesn't contain brightener so is more suitable for darks, but as I say costs more and is actually (I think) slightly less economical in use.

Daz ultra white and whites and colours

Well, I am converted!..Having always used Persil bio powder for whites and lights, and Persil colour liquid for darks, I changed to Surf black liquid, because most of my clothes are black, but on a whim, tried the 2 variants of Daz..
The first boxes, I found cleaned well, but left an Ariel type stale smell so I went back to Persil and surf black..but found the cleaning was actually better with Daz and the whites had a bluey kind of white to them..as Asda had both types on offer, I have bought both variants of Daz again and am using Lenor ruby red conditioner which smells divine!

I washed a load of coloured articles the other day. I used the non-bleach Daz 65 Years. The fragrance wafting out of the dispenser vent as the load sloshed about, reminded me of my gran's wash day - a kind of soapy, rubbery smell.

A load of whites with Aldi's Almat tablet did not produce the same scent.
