Design 2000 ate some Lego's :/

Hello, I have a Whirlpool Design 2000, Stylemaster 907675, model A5550XPW7. This machine has had a fist full of Lego's ran through it and now is labored while spinning. I pulled the drain hose off and got some out of it that way besides sifting what I could out with my hands. Just wondering what should be my next step should be from a professional's standpoint. Remove the inner tub, the pump, and hoses to the pump and the drain, clear out any remaining pieces...checking that all passages are clear...something is causing a jam to slow the spin

but being a DeSign2000, and considering the age.....it may be time for a clutch rebuild!
