Hey guys,
I've just been for a walk with my dog and when people have their back doors open, i have a quick nosey as u do. Some people on the corner of our estate have an oldschool grey panel zanussi! Annnnnnd the farmer on the farm track where i walk my dog has a black panel zanussi!! Also he has an olllllld fridge thats walls look thicker than concrete lol.

Its great to see some of my favourite machines are still in circulation in everyday use.

What i wanted to ask was if you guys have friends with cool machines that we all love that are still chugging happily away and havent yet been replaced by "energy efficent" crap.

This could be an interesting thread:) if people have picks too that would be cool!:D

My mother uses a center dial Maytag dryer that she bought new in the early seventies. The matching washer went out in the early nineties and she replaced it with a new Maytag.

Sady enough you can't get around the back of a lot of houses anymore, most of those paths are gated lately. As a child I loved to go around the back of the house (which was normal) at friend's. I loved looking at what washing machine was there. In our neighbourhood there were a lot of Miele frontloaders and AEG Turnamat twintubs (H-axis). Neigbours of us had a Constructa boil washer and other neighbours had a V-axis toploader, don't know if it was British or American. Somehow an older GE toploader looked similar. There was much more diversity than today. Loved it!
