does anyone have an old asko washer?

I was looking at images of vintage washers some time ago and I came upon a pic of a h axis washer called an asko from the 40s or 50s. In the drycleanig industry back in the early days the washers were all h axis. they had a door in the drum that locked and an outer door that closed over it. they called these a name you cant even find these days. they were called a bellie washer. these did not extract all they did was wash and then the clothes were taken out and put in an extractor before being dryed in a tumbler. If anyone knows anything about these asko machines or has one I would love to speak to them. thanks Bill

Commercial laundries always used h axis machines (front loader or not) for the most for many reasons, capacity to load&wash lots of clothes, water use etc.. and still today they use this same type...
I am not aware of asko commercial machines much, but they have been made of this kind by many manufacturers and this is what medium to large laundries and institutions etc.. went and goes with from ages.
From your description seem to me you're describing a typical commercial washer machine, they were made like this, the window and "front load" setting came and became more common with the so called washer-extractors that would also spin...

Again, not sure about Asko but I assume they probably made these machines just like many others did....
