D'OH!!

I just updated my profile to show a new avatar picture and POOF the rest of my profile info disappeared in a blue flash like what happened when I first tried to get the 53 Westy dryer going again... Please tell me what I did wrong...

Wow, I'm sorry Paul, you did nothing wrong. That is probably a new bug. I'm trying to make a final round of changes over the next week or two trying to tidy things up and make a few things easier to do. Then I can call it quits for a while. This probably will cause a bug or two and I apologize to all in advance.

Paul I just changed my profile picture every which way and couldn't get it to wipe out my profile text. Do you happen to remember the circumstances or steps?

Hi Robert, I honestly don't remember what I did... Maybe I hit a wrong button or something, but I really wasn't sure. I've changed the picture in the past without a problem. It must've been something I did - sorry for the inconvenience!
This must be the board's way of telling me I need to update my collection description again... LOL

Hi Paul, it's no inconvenience what so ever. I appreciate you letting me know. If you have time sometime soon if you wouldn't mind changing your profile and picture a few times and see if you can get that to happen again. I will continue to try myself. In order for me to fix the bug I have to be able to replicate the problem so I know what its doing.

Hi Robert, well, I re-entered most of my profile information this morning and let it sit a while. Just a couple of seconds ago, I decided to try changing the picture for my avatar again and I tried to repeat exactly what I did last night.
1- I went into 'Update my Profile' by clicking the box that now appears on the upper right hand side of all the forums.
2 - I clicked on the 'Delete my picture' option; the information on my profile remained
3 - I then clicked on the 'Browse' box to select a new picture; I had to go into the Pictures folder of the PC I am using (this is my work laptop, not my home one that I usually use. I selected the picture and when the screen with the profile information came back, it was blank, save for my email address and the time zone.
I don't think I clicked on anything unusual or had inadvertently selected or highlighted everything on the screen...
I am not sure what else I could have done...
The only thing that I can think of that might be different is that I always use a PC with a French-Canadian keyboard, 'cause I write a lot in French... It's not much, but it may a clue..

Hi Robert, I am using Intenet Explorer but I am not sure of which version (probably 8) and the OS is Windows 7 (upgraded from Vista). Please let me know if there is anything else you may need - don't be shy to email either! Thanks!

I believe I have figured out what was the problem and I've fixed it. I turned back on profile editing, if you notice anything else strange please let me know.
