Door Striker for 1951 Norge Nightwatch Refrigerator

I am reposting this message with a photo or two to help. I am looking for a door striker for my 1951 Norge that is in daily service, or was until the striker broke. Any help would be appreicated! Thanks, Rex Crews Durham, NC

Might Help....

If you posted a photo of the door striker itself, rather than just the entire fridge.

That way, if the same striker was used on other Norges, you're likelier to have someone recognize it, and maybe even have one for you.

Norge Door Striker

Hi, I thought about posting the striker, but I thought the refrigerator would be useful as point of reference, as I have a 1948 Norge, and that stricker is completely different. I am posting the broken striker and eschuteon now. Thanks for your help.

Beautiful old refrigerator. If you cannot locate a replacement, perhaps the old latch could be brazed, or welded? Or a machine shop could fabricate a replacement?

Thanks for your replies! I checked with Jowers, and they had not parted a Norge of this vintage, so no luck there. And, the problem with repairing the old striker is that it's made of potmetal. I think I could have one fabricated out of steel, if I had to go that route. I am moving the '48 Norge in there until I can solve this problem. I sure thank you all for advice and help! Rex
