Early GE Combination Fridge $25

Well Dan, if I had more space and a more understanding partner, I'd probably be rescuing some of these machines.
That Combination (I'm going to peg it at 1951 or 52) is the type I originally wanted but now that I have the '57, I like its counter depth, short stature, magnetic latches, spinning shelves and extra storage space in the fridge and freezer doors, along with its ability to fit into a zero side clearance opening.
I agree that the old Combo would clean up fine and would be a great second fridge for anyone who didn't mind defrosting the freezer. Mine has been running for six months and can still go a little while longer before I'll need to defrost.
It seems there aren't enough of us in the Bay Area to snag every interesting machine that surfaces around here, even when it's an absolute steal.
