Probably plugged water inlet screen on cold water side keeping machine from filling for rinse and finishing cycle. I’d go get it as it’s the 100 year Maytag anniversary addition although it’s direct drive.

Yeah, I’d love to have a set like this, or the slightly later model with window in the lid.
