How much weight would you guess a 1960 Tappan electronic oven (microwave) and a 1965 Ratheon Radarange would be? I'm moving into a new house and was going to get heavy duty shelving, in an ideal world I'd like them on the same shelf to make a chronological display. Thanks!

Early microwave oven weights

Hi Will, I would expect that tap and weighs at least 100 pounds count on 150 to be on the safe side, don't know about Amana but I'm sure it's not light, that must be a commercial unit love to see more information on it that's really cool.

I would probably build some wood framing to display the microwaves, I'm about to do the same thing in the back of the museum. I'm gonna build a whole wall of shelving for all the vintage countertop microwaves, and the lower level on the floor will be all the vintage trash compactors

Congratulations on your new house.

John
