I just bought an easy spindrier in very good condition. from what I can tell from past threads it seems to be from about 1955-56. however I still have to pickup my machine next weekend,I cant wait! I do know that easy was located in syracue ny. and they used to make wringer machines. I have never seen anyone post an actual timeline as to the years of the easy spindriers. if anyone could I would greatly appreciate it. thanks Bill

I'm pretty sure that I've seen an early General Electric twin tub spin drier washing machine in a 1934 promotional movie short made by Warner Bros. for General Electric on Youtube. The short stars Bette Davis, Dick Powell, Warren William and Ruth Donnelly, all Warner Bros. contract players. The predominate focus of the short was on the GE in sink dishwasher, but Bette also showcased the GE vacuum coffee pot, monitor top fridge, electric range and at the end the twin tub washer. So, spin driers have been around at least since the early 1930's

No, I tell a lie....

Easy actually had a twin-tub washer far back as the late 1920's. The units featured either an agitator or suction cup type washing action and had a spin dry basket. However Easy then referred to the latter as "Damp-Dryer", not spin drier. IIRC units were sold as "wringer-less" washing machines. You could get them with either gas or electric powered motors.
