Hello everyone, my late grandmother's electra 1200 electronic deluxe from the mid 90s stopped working the other day. It fills up as normal but will not advance its timer or turn the drum. If the timer is advanced by hand it will turn on the water heater and pump out again but will not do anything for itself.
It was brought out of storage last year and has been working fine until now. Carbon brushes have plenty of meat left on them as I changed them not long before the machine was stored.
I somehow found a replacement timer for it off Ebay but sadly found it made to difference to the fault; machine fills and empties when manually turned, no drum rotation and no timer advance.
I'd be grateful for any of your thoughts on what it could be. It would be a shame to scrap a family heirloom if it's something simple. Or something I've missed.
