No Ralph the washer is not like the KA models with touch pads...mainly because this washer is belt driven, but the dryer is the same design that Whirlpool has made since 1966 PAT COFFEY

I believe this shows up occasionally as a P.O.D., in a very un-factory aqua color. These were the WP counterpart to the KM 'Limited Edition' models.
