Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

servis dryer

There is another machine which my mother still uses (once a year maximum use). A servis dryer, bought in 1967. This I also plan to sell. Tell me if you need pics

LOL...nice one Mike !!
It would be soo nice to try and get hold of any Servis toploader, but a MK41 would be preferential..that nice two-tone blue console..there must be one out there somewhere !!
The hunting continues..Keith

Amazing...

Anybody planning on getting either the EE 1600 or the Servis Dryer?

Rov: You have an email.

James.

Fantastic!

Rov

How great and thank you so much for posting the pics - amazing find (now how many words are being eaten)!

How marvelous that one of these has survived - and it looks to be in great shape. It's interesting to see elements of the other Hotpoints of the time in the design - the timeline from the 1504 Toploader, control knob from the Supermatic (methinks) and cable and hose hooks on the back just like the 1504.

Rov - would it be possible to see more pics of the control panel please? I'm sure there will be LOTS of interest in this machine. In terms of trying it out, I would suggest you try it without water first and make sure you have an Earth-Leakage circuit breaker on the power line. I would check over the internal hoses and seals before adding water too!

So who's getting it? I'm sure it would be possible to have it shipped for not too much!

D :-)

How much?

I really want to get this but mum fears the cost. I quote from her: "Why not get one of your new UK friends to get it for you!!!" I would pay a fair price if someone had trekked to get it for me and David would it be possible to squeeze it over? I don't mean to sound rude but I'm all new to this shipping malarky. It will have a good home over here too... I can't afford £500 for shipping. I was looking for this machine all year with ad's every direction and now its sitting right in front of me.

I doubt this one will slip to you guys... James.

1600 panel

One more picture for liberator 1509.
I also found some metal bars and nuts used while transporting the machine. I will send pictures, if you could tell me where to attach them

Looks like an interesting machine...nice timeline, same as on my 1504
How many enquries are being done regarding getting the machine transported to UK..LOL..the race is on.
Good luck to one and all.
Keith

My Proposal...

I've been doing a search nationally for a 1600/1830 but failed. I would pay a fair price and lovingly restore a machine of this greatness, as well as taking it to the UK occasionally to show you all. If anybody is getting the Servis Dryer can they collect this machine too for me, otherwise whoever collects this machine and brings it to the UK can I buy it off you? Please if anybody has any ideas can you email me on [email protected]

James.
