Hey everyone. Theres an interesting story in the UK ecologist magazine this month about Comfort fabric softener causing all sorts of damage to humans and killing fish in the water system. Mainly headaches, dizziness, central nervous system damage, kidney damage and the list goes on.Though this applies to many washing powders and fabric softners as well its just they've picked on Comfort to dissect its ingredients and show how bad they are for the environment and you.

I try to use the ecological ones where possible and always have though some supermarkets and local shops dont sell them it can be hard to buy them with the main shop and have to end up with something else. I find the most popular product ecover (made in Belgium) as good as anything else on the market it really cleans well, but haven't tried clear spring or bio d etc which are British made. anyone got any thoughts. Whats available in the USA? do you have much alternatives?
I wonder why there are so few on supermarket shelves in the UK as we are dominated by procter and gamble and Unilever stuff with huge money spinning advertising budgets i suppose.
