error codes/Maytag gemini range

I ran the lower oven through self-clean cycle. It worked perfectly. Next night tried to set the top (smaller) oven for self clean. It locked then gave code F9-2 with a scrolling "call authorized servicer." What's the combination of keystrokes to unlock the oven and start over. I've already tried shutting off power for 2 minutes. Maybe I should shut off power longer.

Lower oven is not locked, but it won't work either. So I now have no oven.

I think circuit board may be fried.

Your idea

of shutting off the power for more than two minutes could help, and won't hurt.

However, your second thought about the circuit board may be right, alas.

I read at consumer reports that there are problems with gemini ranges regarding cleaning the top oven. Go to the Maytag website for more info.

F9-2 says "Latch unlock upper. Check for obstruction in door lock mechanism". All F9 codes have to do with obstruction in door lock mechanism. Hope this helps!
