Wow!

That's quite a haul!

All for the grand total of like, what..? $15 dollars??

So, when's the big photo-unveiling of your kitchen?? :-)
From what I see, it looks way more complete than it did in September. (and fabulous at that)

Ooh...

And that's an early PortaPower. It's got the same flippy switch as the Convertible... so it will have a DAM/Portable/Slimline motor in it.

:-)

WOW!! Nice Kirby Greg! And someone must have been stocking up on Oxydol. I have used the new powder Oxydol, but was not that thrilled with it. The Unimatic is running with Tide with Bleach powder these days. I am going to have to find some vintage powder detergent at some point and give it a try.

Those little portable vacs are handy to have. I have an Orek, and even though it is built like a pos, I like it for drapes, and hard to reach places. With the high ceilings and stuff here, I would hate to be without the Orek.

Here are 13 unopened boxes of Oxydol - a friend of mine called me yesterday and told me where to find them and stopped by tonight and said they'd brought out more so I guess I'm going back tomorrow! The books on the floor are Hints From Heloise.

The Hoover is just MINT! This is the model that my mother bought in 1976'ish as a companion to the all-cream Convertible Deluxe. We beat the hell out of that Porta-Power and finally put it to rest two years ago. I've found several of these over the years and every one I give one to loves them. I'll replace my current Porta-Power with this nicer one - it even smells new on the inside, I think it was only used a handful of times.

Great haul!!!

Those toastmaster dishes are very hard to find IMOHO :-)

I collect toaster hospitality sets and I had a very hard time getting the complete set of these. The tray should not be hard to find!

Congrats!!!

Great Finds Greg!
Love your new kitchen! I love your Kitchenaid KDS-18! Looks way modern with you cabinets and such.
Did you post pictures of your new kitchen. It looks fantastic from what I could see.
Happy Washing!

Wow, love the Oxydol and the vintage Sanka, very cool finds Greg! Yay for the sales, we don't always find good stuff, but when we do it's so much fun!

The Sanka and Oxydol....

I seriously wonder how old that Sanka is? I've not seen a label like that in ages!

As for the Oxydol, I put it somewhere in the mid-80's era. There's a YouTube video for Oxydol in that time frame and the box looks the same.

Congrats on the great haul...

Love the NIB ITT rotary wall phone. You do find some of the best stuff. Remember my shopping list. LOL... Also love the pot belly coffee pot.

Of course you had to

Bring them home. First hint of the kitchen do over? From what I see, looking good. I remember the diswasher discussion about new ones taking so long, glad to see a nice KA.

We would like to see the whole kitchen.

Martin

Neat stuff, Greg. Congrats. There is a big difference between the early and later GE potbelly perks. The ones with brown Bakelite are chrome plated copper and the inside can have plating failure that will ruin the taste of coffee. The ones with the black Bakelite have stainless steel bodies that are chrome plated on the outside.

I had a Porta Power that was brown and orange. It had a cloth bag. Jason owns it now.

The way the handle on the top of the Revere drip pot is bent, you wonder if they were using it to scoop mud or something. There is no way that wet coffee grounds could be that heavy.

Wonderful finds Greg!! Love that Sunbeam Vista coffee maker, it along with the others look new. You will love the GE potbelly too, makes great coffee. I love the porta power you gave me a few years ago. The power those little machine have is amazing. I always say, Omaha and Minneapolis are the best places for estate sales!!! YAY
