Expertise / Knowledge Regarding “Form” Creation on Word

Trying to create a form on Word that would have a vertical line seperating the two areas that need to have free space in which to “fill in”. The form would be used for work and has very little text but needs a good deal of area that is open for text.

I tried to do this in-house and the person could not get the form to remain intact once it was “live” and I would enter the information. It looses the center vertical line and begins to jumble.

IMHO other than using templates, best way to create forms in MS Word is to use tables.

By using tables the borders of each box (top, bottom, left, right) contain the content and also are fixed.
