hey guys, steven here. I was missing my mobile maid so I decided to bring it up from the basement. does tne pots/pans cycle extend or heat the main wash. its a model SM-301. Ilove this machine!

I believe that the Pots and Pans cycle would still be shorter than the Normal wash with a shortened dry cycle on this model.  I'm not sure if this model would heat the water as the cycle runs, though.

Pots & Pans cycles from this era was intended to mainly soften and remove as much soil as possible and have no or very shortened dry cycle.  Intent was then for home owner to remove the utensils and wipe out, rinse out any remaining residue soil in the sink.

According to the owner's manual for my MM the PP cycle shortens heated drying time to only five minutes.

Regarding cycle results, you can always stop the machine and restart the wash cycle if your pots/pans (or anything else) requires industrial strength scrubbing. That and I'd use a good powerful detergent which coupled with the blasting hot water should do the deed nicely.

On Pots and Pans

Our MM skipped the first pre-rinse and only dried until the lid popped then advanced to OFF. It seemed stupid to skip the first pre-rinse when you were trying to loosen cooked on crud. On the later MM with the wash arm, the Pots & Pans cycle extended the wash into the first after rinse to give 7 minutes, I think, of extra wash time.
