Fabric Sizing?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Does anyone know whatever happened to an spray product for ironing called "fabric sizing"? It was like starch, but wasn't as strong and it didn't make fabrics as stiff.

If it's no longer being made, what's the closest substitute for dress shirts?

Thanx!!

Faultless Sizing is still available; here's a link to the product page. Whether it's available in your local stores is anyone's guess: specialty laundry products are getting hard to find due to poor sales. Not many people have the time to finick over their laundry any more, so they don't buy stuff like this, which leads to retaillers refusing to devote shelf space to it.

Sad. Hopefully you'll find someplace that still has it. I find Faultless products in my local bargain stores, including the sizing, so try those if other retaillers don't have it.

Albertson's

We have it at Shop N Save, a quick check of Albertsons will probably reward you. They carry much the same as we do, as we have the same parent company.

I bought some at Kroger a couple of months ago now, Magic. A can usually lasts me a couple of years at the rate I iron anymore. It's odd my mom never used the stuff because I find it makes ironing so much easier

Wow... this is crazy. I just bought some Magic Sizing at Publix yesterday... a dollar fourty-nine! and I haven't checked the forum in several days. This isn't the first time I've checked here and there is a thread that is relevant to something going on in my life! Spooky!

I thought the sizing would help me to iron the dress shirts for work and make them have a little more body. It seems to work well... which is more than I can say for the new Rowenta Pressure Iron and Steamer... I don't like it a bit!
