discovered some color LEDs at a local hardware store today-made by Feit(in china as expected)They are of the recent "filament" type with 4-6 of the tiny LED strips-tried a few colors:UV"black",orange, pink, and green:UV had 6 uncoated strips and worked pretty well, green had green LEDs and very nice deep green color.Pink had coated Strips and gave off a color tending a little toward purple.Orange also used coated strips and was more of an amber-orange color.Have not tried the yellow, blue,or purple-especially interested in trying the yellow,as if it is natural yellow LEDs and not UV/yellow phosphor LEDs should serve well as a "buglight".Bugs can see UV spilling out of CFL and phosphor LED buglights and attract right to those...I have also tried GE color LEDs and those have nice color, but I think those are just a colored bulb over a "white"LED.
