Evening, folks!

I have a wonderful late 70's GE Filter Flo from one of our generous members here. It's been a great machine, and still is, but is making a new noise.

It's making a "clunka" noise as it agitates, in the body of the washer. It's doing its job just fine, but makes this noise during agitation as well as spin. I don't know anything about appliances other than to admire them, keep them tidy, show them off, and take pics/vids of them.

Would you be willing to take a listen to this quick video of my wash cycle and give me your thoughts, before I go further? I love having information/opinion before I call a professional...

Many thanks!

It's really hard to troubleshoot from just hearing a noise on a video. Can you pull the machine out and take off the back and see if anything obvious is hitting something?

You're right, Robert--I should have taken a lookie-loo to start with. I thought someone might have heard this noise before on their FF and chimed in "Oh, that's the ____ and here's how I dealt with it."

But maybe this a sign to take off the back cover and stretch myself! Unplugged, of course. I'll report back.

Thanks!
