Filter Flo Agitator Repair/Replacement

I have an 80's GE Filter Flo washer. Recently the curved-fin agitator started to disengage from the agitator shaft during the wash cycle. I was instructed to replace the rubber bushing on the agitator shaft. Apparently the worn rubber allowed the agitator to wobble on the shaft. The collar at the bottom of the agitator is okay, but the part of the agitator that fits around the collar, is worn out of round. With the wobble the agitator has worn through the tub finish in places. Does anyone have advice on repairing/rebuilding my agitator, and tub finish? If the agitator can't be rebuilt, are there any suggestions regarding buying a new agitator?

I am not an expert,however,the spiral GE Activator should seat itself. You should feel it lock down when you push it onto the shaft. I believe there is a part at the top of the shaft that wears out and needs replacement. I can not recall what it is called. I think it serves as a seal as well.
Tomorrow I will take a look at a spiral Activator. Is your machine a standard capacity or an extra large?
