I have a set similar to this that were built in 1988. The washer that I have has a spotscrubber knob to the right of the water level. My dryer I believe has all of the same controls as this dryer but mine is the larger capacity but not the one with the 8 cubic foot drum.

The washer in the ad was built in August 1989 and the dryer in September.
