Technically that isn't a matching dryer. That particular model is several models down in the line. Matching dryer would have a similar column of vertical silver looking buttons--actually 5.

I purchased this model in early 1985 along with the matching dryer.  The dryer had to be ordered because none of the dealers wanted to carry it.  They could offer a better deal on an Extra Large Capacity dryer with less features.  The pair served me well for about 7 years.

Lawrence, my GE had all these exact same features except at the top where there is a black strip with the GE name, it had more of a woodgrain background look. the panel where the auxilliary knobs are was black background with white lettering. The timer dial was the same layout with same cycles and same exact colors on the cycles. My purchased April 1978.

Bob,

Yep, you're describing the version/generation after this one.  GE introduced yours in 1977 along with The New Naturals and (I think) they used that console through 1981.  At that time they went the console on the OP, above.

I had this model in harvest gold I picked up as a trade in back in 83. The lettering was peeling dramatically as they must have been doing all hot washes.

I also had the panel ONLY for one like this but instead of the extra rinse option it had the controls for the sudsaver. The settings were similar to: SAVE-OFF-RETURN
