I am very happy to report after my correspondence with Verizon that St. Louis had absolutely nothing to do with the homophobic postings in the Happy Pride thread. I was worried that this might have been carried out by a member or two of the VCA group because I’m still a little gun shy after what happened in Vacuumland just last month. So I want to extend my sincerest apologies to anyone in the VCA who might have read that post. I certainly jumped the gun this morning with my vacuum references that’s for sure, that was a very stupid thing to do on my part.
Although I try to make it as obvious as possible, I do think it is important for me to mention that while I wanted to wish everyone here a happy pride, that certainly doesn’t mean that any of our friends here are not welcome gay, straight, any color, any religion or anything in between. If someone here for what ever reason has a problem with any particular group of people, we don't want to hear it, we are not interested, keep it to yourself. Everyone is welcome here is as long as they respect everyone else here. I'm going to be quicker with the "BAN" button next time, I try to be as tolerant as possible.
I think it is very sad that I was not able to wish my friends here a happy Gay Pride without it turning into something nasty, but that will not stop me in any way shape or form. It’s my most favorite holiday of the year, and god-damnit I’m going wish all of us a happy gay pride every single year, just like I’m going to wish everyone a Merry Christmas every year as well. Why, because it’s the right thing to do.
Anyway, hopefully calm will now fall once again over our little community.
