Always got my dryer sheets from USA, now you can find them in Italy too, just found them today on sale in a household supplies shop, they're pretty expensive 3.70 euros 36 sheets, as they're a news here, when I said to the employee they always existed in USA even beforew the 70s she couldn't believe it.
The brand names is "Brawn" and are called "asciuga morbido", guess they cannot be find everywhere, I can sell and ship them to Italy areas where they're not on sale if someone is interested, email me.
I will put them on sale on eBay also.

Not exactly true :)

My father sells those amenities along detergent since the mid 90s in his laundry.
Arm&Hammer and another brand I can't recall at the moment so it's all but new.
Of course it's just something for the consumer as we wouldn't ever use that stuff in a commercial dryer! They clog the machines big time and make the clothes feel waxy!

interesting

I'm curious to try the Italian version of dryer sheets.

Thanks for the information.

Here in Slovenia I don't have problems to find dryer sheets of different brands for over more than 10 years. Almost all sheets sold here are germans and I can buy them in german stores like Müller or Drogerie Markt (Lenor, Dr.Beckmann Tumble Fresh, Denk Mit Trocknertücher). Or in the french supermarket chain E.Leclerc (Soupline).

Well, I'm talking about EVERY shops of detergtents, not dealers or special situations etc... and of course Made in Italy products and not places where you can on occasion find dryer sheets.... many italian dealers of american machines have them on sale as well, they get them from USA and then sell them here as a "news", you couldn't findn till now a packet of dryer sheets wrote in italian or Made in Italy, this is what I mean, also, who sell these imported dryer sheets sell them for a LOT of money because of shipping costs....
How much your father sell them for?
I've seen them on internet, one speed queen delaer who have those is named Ventaria.....sell a 100 sheets box of Arm&hammer regular and not moist ones for 14 euros! A LOT!
About clogging, we use dryer sheets since ever in my family, I'm 23 and never had problems of vent or dryer clogged as many people say, we have a very long venting hose also and still going strong after more than 20 years, we just cleaned it once with a leaf blower in the 1999, many laundromats in US with commercial machines sell them too in vending sizes, they regularly sell and use them almost everywhere and I cannot undesrtand your speech about commercial machines, dryers are dryers, commercial or not is the same thing...or not? I never heard of big problems using them as some tecnician say,and of course never had problems with waxy laundry as you say, it all depends by product you use.
I experienced this just once with a crappy brand of dryer sheets named "breezy" that I purchased on internet because of an interesting price, well, they didn't work and let my laundry full of oily spots, who knows what the hell they did put in them, it looked candle wax, really! They claimed being made in USA, I bet they were relly made in China! Anyway they did everything but soft my laundry, just left it full of creases, static cling and oily spots everywhere.....we got them to grabage after 2 uses...
I personally love dryer sheets and found them more easy, convenient and also effective of some liquid softeners......

We always used Snuggle and Bounce, I found very good also the Kirkland ones and Gain and Downy sheets.....
They sell dryers sheets in France, UK, Germany and Spain but the best ones are americans, just curious to give a try to these italian ones, they look and smell nice.
I tried some europeans too, I recall the french brand "Soupline" or the Dutch one "Robjin" same of american "Snuggle" and italian "Coccolino", and also the English ones named "Lenor" wich are made in Canada probably in the same factory where some Bounce are, but I find Bounce more effective than Lenor anyway for some reasons....
I think I will continue buying american dryer sheets though.....

Price

I think it was 4 euros for a box but I can't really remember as the last time I've seen those was in July :D

Hi Freddy, thank you

Can you name the store where you have find them please. The next time I'm gonna go to Italy I will see if I can find them. If not I will send you a mail.

I'm happy with the ones I find here whether they are dry or moist one, but I'm curious to try the ones from Italy.

P.S. (the Lenor sheets I find here are also made in Canada)

That Sound You Hear Is From Dryers All Over Italy

Weeping over their fate! *LOL*

IMHO dryer sheets are some of the worse plagues to be inflicted on laundry appliances since chlorine bleach.

Brand new tumble dryers at local laundromat have had their insides ruined within in several weeks due to those darn dryer sheets. Have seen people put, two, three or several into *each* load. Am quite sure the residue affects all loads regardless since the coating is by now quite thick. Am also sure that those dryer sheets are the cause of the increase in both laundromat and domestic fires that seem to be occuring quite often these days.

Dryer sheets are only slighly less evil than bar fabric softeners in my book.

An embassasing story about dryer sheets

Back in the late 1970's they gave free samples of Bounce sheets in the local newspaper. Never normally wearing PJ's, I washed and dried my only PJ's before going to the local Catholic hospital that my oral surgeon practiced in to have impacted wisdom teeth out. My aunt happened to be 2 rooms from me having a minor procedure, and hating those hospital johnnies, I put the PJ's on and went to say Hi to her. Going out the room, a Nun in the hall screamed and pointed at me, as I looked down, the dryer sheet was hanging out of the PJ's fly opening. I never used them ever again. Still use just a little Downy in the final rinse.

Sound of dryers? Ehmmm what? Anyway:

Again, from my experience never had any issues with dryer sheets, they don't cause coating if are good ones, if they're the crappy ones like those Breezy I can believe it,they looked "fried sheets" not dryer sheets!
I also used 3-4 sheets when drying big loads of towels using the lenor and Robjin sheets, I used them for almost 2 months and I do 3-4 loads weekly, usually I use one sheet with Bounce and Snuggle....never had any issues or "coating" except for those Breezy, real dryer sheets does not leave anything!
About your laundromat probably is attended by people who use Breezy sheets or like china Junk! LOL their company is NY also.....
Bleach ruin machines? This is a news!
Never heard of bleach ruining machines, they're made on purpose to use bleach in! Rather, bleach ruin clothes but not machines for sure, I use bleach only when accidentally it happends that I take and get something coloured in the white wash or whites gets in colour loads.... turning white to blue, pink or grey, it happends very rarely.
Dryer fires:
Dryer fires are cause of improper venting and airflow, screen cleaning and lint build up in the motor and heater due to lack of cleaning around, also crashed hoses, bird nests into vents hoods.
Lint build up in the vent is also another cause but anyway only contributory cause of a bad airflow due to crashed hoses or similar problems as bird nests and or failure of screens and their regular cleaning,a common thing for many laundromats users and some homeowners is to do not clean filters and screens regularly.
You don't get a clogging if airflow is good.
As I already said:
We used dryer sheets since always, we never had our dryer clogged or "coated", our house burned up or problems mentioned, 12 years and countless dryer sheets have been in my dryer after we cleaned it last time, ( we did it just because we wanted to check) no clogging or coating so far.......

I use only one sheet per load. Usualy on loads of clothing.
Me personaly would never use 3 or several sheets. I don't use liquid softener when I use dryer sheets and viceversa.
On some loads I don't use none of the softening agents (on towels for example to avoid reduction of absorbance) Towels dryed in the dryer are soft enough without anything.

Never had any clogging issue or fear of fire... I have a European ventless condenser dryer. The small amount of lint is collected in the filter which I clean after each use. I also occasionally wipe with a moist cloth the sensor of the dryer.

The clogging and fire cases happens because of the negligence of dumb consumers, not because of one dryer sheet.
