Fisher and Paykel Washsmart Super Quick 15min Cycle.

Hi Guys.

Last week I tried out the 15 minute Super Quick cycle on my new Fisher and Paykel Washsmart washer. Made by Haier. I must say I was very impressed! The machine steps up its wash rhythm so it moves the clothes around more in the short wash phase. It then launches into the Vortex sequence for the rinses which means it fills to a high level whilst distributing and spinning. Quite dramatic but very effective. The default temp is 30 degrees C and maxes out at 60 degrees C. Being a hot and cold fill machine it easily reaches 60 degrees in the short time if the household hot water temperature is hot enough.

I made a video of it to share so you guys can see what happens. So far I am liking this machine a lot. I love the deep rinse levels that it does on every cycle. The only drawback is the balancing for spin can take a long time and adds time onto the cycle. They warn you about this in the instruction book so its not a total surprise but still annoying when trying to do laundry by a set time in the day. I have learned to do laundry when I have the time and not to rush it. Also not to watch the machine constantly.

OK, not what is AWESOME!!

Low level wash - high level rinses are PERFECT to me! I mean, that first rinse almost looked like the clean washer cycle on my Duet.....I LOVE THIS!!! I hope the other cycles on that machine rinse that way as well.

Are these available in the USA? When I go to websites, all I see are F&P TL washers, sometimes only one model.

That rinse is freaking awesome!

I believe they are only available in Australia and the UK at the moment....

What a fun machine!

 

I was at Brandsmart a week or so ago and I noticed a Haier front load / dryer pair that looked a lot like your machine.  It was a little bit bigger than yours in appearance.  I remember noticing that it had the "Super Quick 15 Min Wash".  I am wondering if it is the same machine as yours?  I wish that I would have taken the model number from it....

Interesting

Because I don't think I would EVER buy a Haier, but I guess that could be possible, since some makers may make machines for other companies. Am I correct that the small Maytag/Whirlpool FL (like the ones that are 2 something cu ft), are made for Whirlpool/Maytag by another company? I could be wrong. But reading the reviews, one lady posted how this washer was perfect for her small apartment with not enough room for a regular sized washer, and in the picture, it showed water almost 1/2 way up the door!

Anyway, I think that has to be the coolest rinse action I've ever seen!

Small WPs

Those should rout from the EU line-up, made by Whirlpool. We have one of those, and they are pretty decent for being a budget brand over here. Rinses pretty high if loaded well, but sometimes, it basicly dosen't use any water at all. Overall, over here, its worth its price.

These F&Ps are made by Haier, as far as I know.

Haier owns Fisher and Paykel now....having bought them in 2012.

 

An interesting tid-bit I just found out (gotta love Wikipedia) is that Haier started out making fridges using technology and equipment from Liebherr of Germany. Now, Liebherr is pronounced 'Li-bo-hai-er'......with the new company taking the last two syllables from the German pronunciation as their company name.
