Awhile back, Robert asked about the pieces I fabricated for my Whirlpool in a thread on the Shoppers Square forum index. These are the pieces I fabricated out out plumbing parts for the water level/pressure switch along with the lint filter/automatic dispensers. Surprisingly, the inner tub/wash basket doesn’t collide since it doesn’t stick out all that much. Definitely more beefed up than the originals the machine came with. If something were to happen, can easily make new pieces since they are parts off the shelf from the plumbing department at Home Depot.

Okay I remember that thread now Sean. That's a great fix and should certainly hold up, I'm surprised there is enough room inside the outer tub for that nut and the wash basket not to touch it.
