Thought it would be a great idea to start a thread to remember some of the absolute weirdos/crazy/unique (in my example) on the music scene and some that some of us may have forgotten about.
Also some of the best songs ever made but we forget about.

One of my ALLTIME favourite songs sung by one of the oddest and freaky artists.

Whos your favourite?

I know they won us the 1982 Eurovision with Making Your Mind Up but I think this is their best song.....
They also have a new Greatest Hits Album out YAY!!!!!!

Awaits a slap from Carl LOL!! :-)

Pointless Technical Trivia.....

When you get the view of the camera viewfinder at about 3 mins notice its in black and white- this is the original BBC colour camera design from 1968(EMI 2001 I believe). At that time it was easier to judge the focus on a monochrome display than colour.

The BBC got their moneys worth from these- they were in use till the late 80s by which time the originals were 20 odd years old lol- of course by then they were absolutly HUGE in comparison with newer models!

my alltime favourite artist is a toss up between Queen and Meatloaf tho recently i have been listening to more Meatloaf.
My all time favourite track is 'Anything For Love' from Bat Out Of Hell 2, great song.

just discovered this one again, i can remember Celine Dion doing this one ages ago but Meatloaf and Marion Ravon do it so much better.
And the video clip is awesome as well.

Nothing wrong with Meatloaf . . . I have Bat Out Of Hell somewhere on vinyl, but until I fix my turntable I can't play it anyway.

I was quite surprised to hear another forgotten artist and song from the same era on the radio last week: "Pop Music" by M. Anyone else remember that one?

wow shakespeares sister, thats my favourite song by them, it was on my graduation video from high school, was such a great backing track.

Another of my fave groups is Scissor Sisters, i like their recent track Don't Feel Like Dancing but i like this one better...
Does anyone remember a film called Return To Oz?, well it was sort of a sequel to the original film, with dorothy returning to Oz to find her friends, finding them under the rule of a new evil queen and everyone had been turned to stone, quite a morbid sequel but i still loved it.

This song is by the scissor sisters and was inspired by this film, having the same title. Its actual theme is about crystal meth addictions in the gay community and you can hear these references in the lyrics, hiding behind the story of the film
PLease enoy, its one of my all time favourites

The Telephone Man

I remember this one hit wonder back in my days working for the telephone company. My partner was an installer for 15 years and this song was the brunt of many jokes among his crew. The song even made the charts in the UK, and for those of you who remember Dr. Demento, well I need say no more.

Enjoy,
Robb

Leader of the Laundromat

Ok guys. Who remembers this one?? The song is a spoof of Leader of the Pack and was done by the Detergents. I had to post this one just for all my friends on the AW Forum.
