Had to visit my absolute LEAST favorite place today. Walmart. In search of the trifold CC holder for my USA made wallet. In my locale, Walmart is the only place that has these.

While there, I motorvated down the detergent aisle in search of...........and I found it!

A small, and I mean really small bottle of Oyxdol!

It cost a buck. I felt the presence of Frigilux, our pod experimenter extraordinaire 1st class, and knew I had to grab it. I also passed by other pods of various types but I digress.

Attached are the pix. I have not used it, just got back in. I poured out a capful and this stuff is THIN! I mean anorexic thin. Literally the viscosity of liquid dish soap.

It smells ok I guess, not like the Oxydol powder of yesteryear though.

Will be doing a load this Wednesday and plan to have a report then.

Ben-- I just returned from visiting my sister in Sioux Falls, SD, and stopped at a huge Wal-Mart to pick up a new pod detergent, All Mighty Pacs Oxi, which aren't available at the other two Wal-Marts I stop at in my corner of Minnesota.  I've always said if you want to experience hell, go to a Wal-Mart at 2:00 p.m. on a weekend, LOL.

 

Anyway...All Mighty Pacs Oxi are the highest rated pod in CR's latest test.  They now test detergents in 75-degree (what they rightly call 'cool') water instead of the traditional 90-degrees, since all new machines have dumbed-down their 'warm' setting to roughly that temperature.  I'm going to test the All/Oxi pod with whites in cool water tomorrow and post.

 

Back on point:  CR is not a fan of Oxydol liquid, which received an overall score of 35, a 'Fair' cleaning rating, and notations that it was not good at removing blood, grass, or dust sebum (ring-around-the-collar) stains in 75-degree water.  You may have better luck at higher temps.  Looking forward to your test results!
 
Oh those dirty rings!

I've tried soaking.

I've tried scrubbing.

I need something that gets rid of ring around the collar and my whole wash clean.

Suggestions?
 
Well tentatively Wednesday

I have a medium load of whites with Lands End khaki dress pants to wash. The pants have some coffee stains on the leg so it will be a good test of Oxydol ability to clean.
 
ditto - Wisk of course

... wet the collar ring - then rub some wisk onto the dirtiness - then toss into the wash with Wisk - should take out those rings

This worked for me with Sweat-Stains that were set into my white shirts with "Planet Ark" detergent (Hey, it rinsed well), hot water and hot ironing. 

 

They were removed with the Phosphatey goodness of "Radiant Black Wash" (Liquid).

Poured a little onto the stain, rubbed it, into the FL Miele on a Warm (104º) Minimum Iron wash, with Water-Plus and Pre-Wash (had several shirts that needed this, so I wanted a fresh shot of detergent for the wash), 

All clean and white once more*

 

*And have vowed never to use that horrid Planet Arks stuff again, unless I add plentiful amounts of Oxy-Bleach/Enzyme boosters.
