The first two photos are of a ceramic cookie jar that I've owned for approximately 25 years. I found it at a monthly antique show that used to be held at the Shriners Auditorium in Mobile. I thought it was very MCM, loved the turquoise-and-yellow, and the 'Jackstraw' pattern. Never knew much about it or if there were more pieces.
Last week I came across an ebay listing for a sugar and creamer that matched the cookie jar! I have no business doing impulse buying like that, but I couldn't resist. Bought them with a Best Offer and they arrived today. I love them! It looks like my cookie jar had twins.
The name on the bottom is Stanford Sebring (am not familiar with the company), and the listing claimed that the pieces were designed by Viktor Schreckengost. When I googled that name it turns out he was an industrial designer from OH (Cleveland, I think) who designed all kinds of household items including dishes, pottery, flashlights, bicycles, and a whole host of other things. He died in 2008 at the age of 101. I have no idea how the pieces came to be attributed to him, I will continue to look to see what I can learn.
