Congrats! The avocado one would be around a 1977 model and the other around 1980. These are great machines when functioning correctly. If they work without issues use them. Most of the time these machines need major mechanical rebuilds at their age if you were to want to keep them going as your regular use machines for years to come. It is very doable but quite a chore. Most service folks who would know how to work on these have retired by now or have no interest to take on a project like this. Any of the younger service folks wouldn’t know where to start in most cases. That being said if you are handy there are plenty here who like these machines who have the knowledge to help you keep them going.
