That's a weird assortment of appliances. An Electrri-Clean Frigideaire Deluxe double oven. A reverse rack that probably replaced whatever was the original dishwasher. (a photo showing the top rack being used for putting mugs & coffee cups in). Tappan gas cooktop probably original.

I have RR installed as the back up. Because psychologically I feel that just looking into the machine, I am so programmed to looking at the Wash Arm on the bottom I try to load as normal.
None of my Stock Pots fit on the bottom rack, so if I place them in the upper... They come out " Ehhhhh ". Reverse Racks to me are true "Dish Washers".
One Armed Wonders the same. Follow the Instructions for Racking... and Dishes and Glasses will come clean.
But RRs ? They are different. A lot of thought with a RR needs to be arranged with Spray Deflection in mind. My Flat Ware leaves a lot to be desired with that Basket in the Top Rack.

One of the nice things about RR dishwashers is that the top rack is so easily removed and then the machine becomes a very handy and effective pot and utility washer.

RR Maytag DW as A Pot and Utensil washer ?
Hi Ken, are we talking about the same DW, even with the top rack out you can not put a decent size stock pot in the lower rack let alone put much along the sides of the cutup lower rack, I can not think of a worse design for large pots, and trays etc for maybe a wash tower GE DW.
