What a wonderful idea to have in a remote cabin/house no need to worry if the power goes out just light the fire! I

If however you did light the fire would it heat the oven ?

Its still in great condition for its age and would be related to the multi fuel AGA we get over here....

Those stoves used to be quite plentiful here in the northeast with the side heater that kept the kitchens nice and toasty. Most around here were gas and the wood side had been converted to kerosene. This style did not heat the oven but some models had the oven in the center and the side heater did warm up the oven enough to proof bread but not enough to actually bake without the gas on.

How big a flue did these use? I guess they were used where there was an existing chimney from a solid fuel stove.
