I have an extra GE P-7 electric wall oven, 24", in Harvest Gold, that I am giving away. Since it may be of collector interest, I'm posting it here first.

It is in good condition - the door panel is flawless. It came off a nearly identical oven in my kitchen. The chrome trim above the door looks warped, but it looks like this doesn't affect the function. The stainless trim under the door may be a little bent, but could probably be straightened ok. This looks to be a base model, without the rotisserie or meat thermometer features. I have not tested this one, but I understand it works ok.

Email me (check out the comment area for the true email address) if you are interested.

These P-7 ovens seem to be indestructable. Very well made, what GE seems to do best is ovens and ranges. The clock on mine still works flawlessly - I use the timer (buzzer) to time things like pizza etc. Although I admit I've never gotten into using the timer for timed baking - but it could be done.

The color in this photo doesn't really do it justice, either. It's a much richer, more vibrant color in room lighing. This one was taken outdoors (OK, in the front of the garage with the door open on a bright day). It just doesn't coordinate well with the black/stainless motif of my newer appliances.

Going going gone

Someone picked up the P-7 today. They are replacing a '59 GE wall oven that they found they couldn't fix. Something about unobtainable tungsten filament thermostat. Hopefully this one will work well for them.

Next up... maybe a wedgewood stove or two. Will have to see...

The Wedgewood factory was in the SF Bay Area, so they were very common here. Many older homes/flats/apartments still have them, in good working condition. O'Keefe and Merritts are good too, although we don't see as many of them here.
