Fresh Start

For those fans of Fresh Start detergent who live in the Virginia areas, I finally found where I can buy some. I haven't seen it up here until today when I made a rare trip to the Ft. Myer Commissary. Sure enough they carry 44-load bottles for about $4.50 or so. I know some folks on here like this stuff and have a hard time finding it on the east coast.

If remember correctly you can buy this by mail as well, although I think you need to order a full case.

I think they come in cases of 6 bottles. I just brought it up here because I had one member enquire about where to find it in the DC Metro area and I was surprised to actually find some.

you will see Fresh Start is still one of my favorites. It is also excellent for HE front/top load machines.
Thankfully, I can buy Fresh Start here in Orlando. We also seem to have a decent selection of powder detergents unlike NY or other states I have been to recently.

get yourself a few bottles Jon, you will love it..=)

I used to get the stuff off drugstore.com but they seem to be not carrying it anymore. I did find a place here in Mass that sells it and its the vintage stuff from the 70's...but he is charging 5 bucks a bottle and its Phosphated with a whopping 17%

I actually did get some last time we were in Portland, OR. I wanted to try some in the old Westinghouse TL we have there. It did smell rather nice I must say. I'll have to try it in the HE4t too.

I bought the mail-order case lot

after reading about it here. The first time I used it I added some White King, and got lots and lots of suds. It is heavily fragranced, like the Mexican Ariel, but after going through the dryer the aroma is gone. So I guess I like it, which is good since the case will last for years.

It's available here at a local grocery for $6.49, usually on special for 4.99 - 5.49.

No phosphates, not real sudsy in the wash but has a tendency to foam a little in the rinse. It's rather harsh so a touch of softener is needed in the rinse.
