I have a small fridge....the kind with the freezer just in the top and not seperate from the fridge space. NON-frost free. It is in the garage and has not been used in awhile. I plugged it in and it is working fine. On setting four it has the fridge at the safe area on the temp gauge for freezing. It goes up to setting 5.
I am wondering if I could use this as extra freezer space. I had planned on selling it in the bargain column for $50. BUT, I have also been looking at very small freezers.
Can I use this as freezer space - or would it be best to sell it and just buy a small freezer? Thanks ahead of time for your advice :) Tom

Depending on how much more freezer space you need, your fridge could possibly provide it but you'd want to be sure that anything inside the freezer area that isn't touching the bottom or sides of it is going to stay at or near 0 degrees. Also, if you don't intend to use the fridge section for anything, it may make more sense to buy a small freezer instead.
