With the help of the impact wrench, I finally was able to remove the "dreaded" pulsator nut, agitator assembly, and tub. Very easy, UN-complicated teardown compared to a few other machines I've worked on. The water bellows looks to be in good shape, but I don't think I can access the spin seal without removing it. How can I take the snap ring off/replace it without the special pliers? (I do, however, have pliers for the oil bellows seal) The spin seal is still on RepairClinic for $31...and Dave wants $48.50 for the exact same part.
Also, there is some *mild* surface oxidation in the outer tub where the bad spin seal is still hiding its ugly head. While it's very light and nothing serious, what kind of POR-15 would work here? I thought I saw different varieties at NAPA when I picked up the PB'laster and Blue RTV Silicone.
If you have any advice or suggestions please let me know!!
Thanks,
Austin
