Hey guys, I just got a Vintage Frigidaire Butter Pre-Server. I've washed it up, and I can't figure out how the heck it works, it seems simple but I can't get the little tray to slide in right and I'm not sure which slot it belongs in. Anyone got ideas?? I feel dumb for not understanding it...

Here's an inside shot of ours with the door open. The little yellow block in the top drawer will slide back as a stick of butter is pushed in. Then, if you lift the top of the server, the wire (visible in the middle of the 2 drawers) will come up. As you start down, the yellow block will push the butter forward so when the wire comes down it will cut a pat. Perhaps the metal tray is pulled part way out to catch them then brought to the table for serving? My best guess.

Good luck,
Chuck
