that's a 1964 Frigidaire Spin Tube dishwasher.  Member rollermatic just bough one ike this from a condo out of Chicago.  See thread number 33308, Frigidaire spin tube diswasher pics

OOOH! Nice!

I know the earlier models (like that 58 of mine) were notorious leakers... It is possible that it's the cork gaskets that were originally used on these machines have shrunk or deteriored, but that should be an easy enough fix.

Thanks for the info. The house also has a vintage intercom/in tube house radio that still works - just takes a few minutes to warm up.

I'm in Columbia.

if it's a spin tube

you can fix that leak like said above. if it's the motor seal leaking then you're pretty much out of luck as i have yet to find anyone with new seals around anywhere.

luckily mine was just leaking thru old gaskets and it now runs perfectly and doesn't leak.

but if it's a spin tube and you get the leaks fix a bigger problem emerges! they don't clean well! i'm glad i got mine and i love it's "sunny yellow" color and it's novelty wash system and it's nostalgic as all get out but i would never be able to use it as a daily machine! it simply doesn't clean the dishes well! guess i'm spoiled on my kitchenaids and later model frigidaire dishmobile that i use everyday.

Bummer to hear that it doesn't do a very good job cleaning dishes. I probably will not keep it in that case since I won't have room for 2 dishwashers.
