It even has the cool conveyor-belt Ice-Maker that drops 3 cubes in the door mounted ice bucket every 7 minutes.
These refs were a huge leap forward for Frigidaire, when they went to the thin wall cabinets and doors they finally caught up to what GE had done around 5 years earlier on their TOL models.
The US now had three really good refrigerator builders, GE, WP and FD, the other makers had some interesting products but really could not compete head on with the big three.
The bad news was US refrigerators moved into a period of very high power consumption and much shorter life spans than earlier manual defrost refrigerators.
Today we are in a period of very efficient refrigerators but poor life spans do to too many electronics to cause problems and refrigerant leaks do to cheap construction which causes difficult and expensive repairs.
