Below is a pic of the drain on my 1962 Canadian made Frigidaire "built-in" spin tube DW that I acquired about a year ago. My question is the opening aiming straight down from the pump is about 1 5/8 in diam. when you take off that metal plate that I am holding in my hand slightly to the left......... How do you attach a drain hose to this ?? Is there some special "fitting" or piece that goes inside this and gets "pinched" or held by the silver/metal plate ?? Also, the fill has an ext. thread (see below drain to left)being 7/8 diam. (big ?) so I was looking for a int. 7/8 to a ext. 3/4 threaded fitting so I could hook up to the laundry tub with a washing machine hose to manually use it. I could not find this type of fitting anywhere so far. Any advice/help is greatly appreciated.
