Frigidiare Mini-Freezer

I have seen these in 1963 and 1964 models, but not any other years. Were they only produced for a short time? Are they worth having--if I can find one?

I have lots of vintage small appliances, and I've cooked with a number of vintage ranges and wall ovens--but vintage refrigerators still kind of concern me. For one thing, they all look really small.

These mini-freezers, though, seems to solve some of the size probelm. Plus, there's something kind of fun about them.

The FCDM models were those with the mini-freezers. They were available throughout the 1960s. 

 

Here's a 1968 "N" model advertised in a 1970 newspaper.
