A big thank you goes out to Greg (ganksy1) for donating to the Ephemera Library the BIG 350+ page bound version of the entire 1956 General Electric Product Man Service Manuals.

GE's Product Man Service Manuals were produced monthly to keep service personnel up to date with new products, appliance specifications, appliance service instructions, troubleshooting procedures, older product repair and parts changes, installation instructions, customer complaints and recommendations, testing procedures, tools for repairs, wiring diagrams, timer charts, appliance history and evolution and other important information regarding their appliances.

The big 102 page Home Laundry manual has a lot of information on '56 GE Automatic Washers, Combination Washer/Dryers and Clothes Dryers.

Five Sections are included:
Home Laundry
Dishwasher/Disposal
Electric Ranges and Electric Water Heaters
Refrigerators/Freezers
Room Air Conditioners

This refrigerator manual also contains comprehensive instructions for installing all General Electric Wall Mounted Refrigerator/Freezers!

A lot of great information is packed in these manuals.

Thanks again Greg!

YAY!  I just bought everything but the ones for the airconditioners.  This is the first documentation I have ever seen that references the LW11N refrigerator.   And I had zero information on the SU60S1 dishwasher, too, so this will be a great addition to my 'arsenal' of GE documentation.

Thanks for making this available to us, Robert!

Here are the first pages of the bound 1956 book, the "General Information" section. These were sent throughout the year in Product Man monthly releases. I'm not adding this General section to the Ephemera Library because they are not specifically relevant, but they are fun none the less, so I wanted to share them with everyone here. Viewing them with the Full Size check box checked makes them much easier to read.
