Greg, the bottom of the large bowl says "Stainless Steel, Hamilton Beach, Racine, Wisconsin, Made in USA"
My late Aunt Eleanor (of the sour cream raisin pie Aunt Eleanors) had a red bedspread like yours, with matching drapes, in her and Uncle Barney's bedroom in their all-electric manufactured home on their farm just outside of Valley, NE. She had her place "done" by Montgomery Wards. Perhaps you saw her in the linen department? You couldn't miss her: She was the one who looked just like a "far side" lady.
Speaking of gowns, John and I were at a Starbucks just after I bought the bedspread, when a couple came in. They were dressed for a wedding or something, and the woman had a formal on that looked to be of the same material as the bedspread. I'll keep that idea in mind in case I get asked to the Seattle Debutante Ball (which is held annually on the 22nd of December ;-)
