Guys,
It was a wild day on Saturday! I'll save the story about the pig for another day, anyhow, I am now the proud owner of a GE Compact Portable Dishwasher with Power Shower!
Model # GSM560
Serial # 02tp3010113
She's in bad to so-so shape, but for $15, I couldn't pass her up.
The baskets that are attached to the lid...the lower one (The one that is in the back when the lid is closed) is missing as well as any support mechanism on the arm that keeps them upright when opening and closing the lid.
There are some rust marks inside the tub, when the support arm broke, the previous owners must have kept using it with the basket swining and this has put a nice 3" rust mark in the back where the basket must have bounced up against the tub. There are also 2 or 3 rust marks in the bottom where the lower rack sits.
I should be able to take care of the rust with some appliance paint, just have to get it.
The 3 big problems are 1) that the motor runs for about 20 minutes and then I am assuming a bearing heats up and the motor starts to labor. Can you replace just the motor on this dishwasher or must you replace the entire motor and pump assembly? 2) The detergent cup does not "flip". The timer works fine but no flip! 3) The dishwasher leaks a bit. There is a panel on the inside front of the tub that appears to have been removed and replaced at one time for service. Could the fact that there is uneven sealant around this panel have anything to do with it leaking. (I watched it wash and the water drips from the front square part of the machine. I need to take that cover off and inspect the hoses, what I can see of them, they appear fine.
Also, is the "lower/Back" rack and support arm still available from a parts store?
And one more thing, can anyone tell me year of manufacture?
I have been waiting a long time to start working on my diswasher collection and my partner thinks its the strangest thing. Then I opened it up and he started looking at it and the next thing I knew, there were 2 six-year olds playing with it!
Thanks in advance for all your help!

PS. It's avacado green and matches my old tappen gas range.
