Hi all,I already asked about this here last year but had no enough time to check and go ahead then as I had a lot of work, by the way I had many different suggestions and opinions from changing clutch to disassemble it, solenoid issue etc... so I was not sure and I kept my washer working anyway.... but I can say that the solenoid works as it moves changing speeds so it's not that went.
All started when probably a kid, a nephew of a friend was around the washer and I suppose he pressed the normal switch button when was on gentle speed playing with it.....
(It was bout a year ago)
This afternoon I've been about to make a check up and surgery to my washer, another new belt needed (second in 2 years, cheap parts) and a leak that I noticed yesterday, fortunately I discovered being just due to water dropping from tub borders on spin as cause of an heavy over-load,(top panel seals went bad also).
Issue is another here:
Well, absolutely layman of GE clutches and operation ( I can't really figure out how that stuff works)I say that looks like like the clutch and solenoid are out of sync, May be? I just know that solenoid have to engage that stuff in the clutch or release it based on speed...am I rigt? I
In the past I got my washer working on normal speed only just by turning with my fingers that stuff under the clutch.
This evening I tried to understand something more, seems to feel that my clutch is like a model that a member posted in a thread time ago, I will attach the link, Turning the stuff inside (counterclockwise) I felt like the solenoid arm was stopped by the clutch, lifting the solenoid arm it passed over and running washer it was on slow speed, doing the inverse comes back to normal speed , when is on normal solenoid arm is still blocked in place toward bottom, I want to fix it, now is making a clicking noise durning wash and spin, not sure if it's the solenoid arm or the clutch that is banging....obvious the fact that there's something wrong.....
Can you understand anything by this description?
Thanks
Freddy
P.S Thank you tho those who helped and offered help for my previous issue ( transmission and oil in tub) it was just the tub shaft seal that needed to be pushed a little...it works fine now...thanks again anyway to all!
