GE metal kitchen for sale

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I wish we were ready to do our kitchen remodel! This has pantry cabinets! They seem to be tougher to find. I'm holding out for a cheap set of St. Charles to come my way, but these are really quite nice... :)

I don't get what people are thinking about some stuff......if their metal, sturdy and in good condition.....why not re-paint, stencil, even a wall paper treatment....the ideas beyond this are numerous.....even a faux woodgrain pattern....do something different that no one would suspect.....people have no imagination.....

yeah, they'll tear all this out, and replace with cheap particle board cabinets, that won't make it past ten years....and get this...install "stainless" appliances, because they want the shiny metalic look!.....

if your buying the house with intent of ripping everything out and changing it all around, then why are you buying THIS house?......

I can hear them now......I want the kitchen to have something in the way of my style and how I live my life.....can you say "head up your ass!"....

theres a house in my area, the parents have passed on, and the daughter is holding out for a buyer who will leave the house the way she remembers it as she grew up.....60/70's retro.....she doesn't care how long it sits on the market....and with a clause for minimal changes to be made.....I say, good for her!

Well, at least these people recognize that their kitchens have value to someone.  Maybe not as much value as they're hoping, however.

So many others consider them junk and subject them to the demolition crew without ever trying to give them a chance to continue serving for another 50+ years.

Yogi, thats just what "Little Eadie" requested in Grey Gardens. Of course Sally Quinn having that kind of money did not hurt :-)

1958 GE Kitchen in Malvern, PA

Hi, The 1958 yellow GE Kitchen belongs to me. That is actually a picture from when we purchased the house. The cabinets, sink and oven are in our basement now. They are original from our house that was built in 1958 and there was only one original owner before us. The kitchen was beautiful but I wanted newer cabinets and don't want to throw these GE cabinets in the trash because i understand that many do love vintage kitchens. We listed them at 1800 but are willing to negotiate. We won't be able to ship the cabinets though. We are in Malvern, PA. Please either call me or email me through craigslist with any questions or an offer.
Thank you,
Robby http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/app/3769710634.html

This kitchen is amazing.
My friends and I have been
arguing the same sentiments.

"Why buy the house if it is
not what you want." Why does
everything have to be what
the mainstream dictates.

At least donate any original
pieces, if you can't sell, as
opposed to throwing them away.

I lost a storage building with
no where near enough time to get
my "stash" out. I basically
gave away my collection, along
with vintage furniture and electronics,
to save them from being tossed.

ON a positive note, because I am
house hunting I came across an
"unmolested" '63 ranch. The house
was on the market 10 days when I
saw it and already had buyer.

All turquoise appliances & birch
cabinets. I knew this would not
stand a chance of survival in this
area. I was persistent with the
selling realtor to make sure the
new owner had my info and new I
was serious about wanting the
kitchen.

After some back and forth I got
all the Appliances. A dream come
true, for me, to get an all original
set. YAY.

However, the new owners are keeping
the cabinets "for a while", but said
they would let me know if/when they
ever change them out. I went to pick
up the appliances 2 weeks after they
closed. They couldn't even wait for
me to take the stuff out of the
cabinets. The new Stainless and Black
oven, stovetop, hood and fridge were
already in place.

Anyway I am Psyched about my appliances.
Stovetop/Hood/Wall Oven/Dishwasher/Fridge
and Sink. Can't wait to finally get a house.

As my friends and I always say....."We All
are the Original / Natural Recyclers".

Have a Good One All :)
