This kitchen is amazing.
My friends and I have been
arguing the same sentiments.
"Why buy the house if it is
not what you want." Why does
everything have to be what
the mainstream dictates.
At least donate any original
pieces, if you can't sell, as
opposed to throwing them away.
I lost a storage building with
no where near enough time to get
my "stash" out. I basically
gave away my collection, along
with vintage furniture and electronics,
to save them from being tossed.
ON a positive note, because I am
house hunting I came across an
"unmolested" '63 ranch. The house
was on the market 10 days when I
saw it and already had buyer.
All turquoise appliances & birch
cabinets. I knew this would not
stand a chance of survival in this
area. I was persistent with the
selling realtor to make sure the
new owner had my info and new I
was serious about wanting the
kitchen.
After some back and forth I got
all the Appliances. A dream come
true, for me, to get an all original
set. YAY.
However, the new owners are keeping
the cabinets "for a while", but said
they would let me know if/when they
ever change them out. I went to pick
up the appliances 2 weeks after they
closed. They couldn't even wait for
me to take the stuff out of the
cabinets. The new Stainless and Black
oven, stovetop, hood and fridge were
already in place.
Anyway I am Psyched about my appliances.
Stovetop/Hood/Wall Oven/Dishwasher/Fridge
and Sink. Can't wait to finally get a house.
As my friends and I always say....."We All
are the Original / Natural Recyclers".
Have a Good One All
