GE rinse problem...HELP!

Hello All,

My GE Super Capacity Plus (Model# WWSE3160AOWW) began to stop working once it reached the rinse cycle in the "super" and "large" load settings. This went on for several months. Now it stopws in the middle of the rinse cycle, full of water, every time on every cycle. So far I have solved the problem by setting it to "quick rinse".

I'd like to fix this problem myself if possible. Any suggestions?

Washer stopping problem:

Hi! Brazillights, Welcome to the Appliance Club Site, first of all. It sounds like to me that you might have possibly one of a few items causing this stopping in the Rinse Cycles, except in the Quick Rinse. It could be some burned contacts in the timer, just by chance happening at all the Rinse Cycles. If the Timer can be taken apart, you might be able to check out the contact points and use an Emery Board to clean the contacts off.

I'm not that familiar with the GE Models of Washers and Dryers, as far as too which Model Number represents what year, so I would like to know an approx age of your Washer?

It could also be a corroded Wire connection or I would think even possibly a wire or wires that have come disconnected. If ti might be a little more serious, like needing to replace the Timer, it is for sure a pretty easy task to do, that you could do yourself. Just remember for any and all of these ideas of what might be wrong, be sure to unplug your Washer, before attempting to work on it, not to try and sound like I'm making you out as being able to think about doing that, just giving the friendly advise, so you don't hurt yourself, from any Electrical Shocks.
